Purple Parade 2016

Home » Purple Parade 2016

The Purple Parade is the largest movement in Singapore that promotes awareness of the special needs sector, supporting the inclusion and celebrating the abilities of persons with special needs. The movement aims to ensure that people with special needs are included in Singapore’s growth, with equal access to education, employment, transport and social networks.

For the 2016 campaign – their biggest yet in four years, a bunch of purple doobs joined in the festivities at Suntec City where the Purple Parade was held for the first time, graced by Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam with lots of activities and performances lined up for the 10,000 people (and a few doobs) who turned up despite the rain!
